An honest picture, pre-revenue.
The traction section of this page is short because there is little traction to report. Everything else is what we are building and why.
At a glance
- Company
- HELM Systems LLC · Alabama · formed September 2026 · Entity ID 001-278-103
- Problem
- Autonomous and AI-driven systems make material decisions that cannot be reconstructed, so nobody can demonstrate that a required control actually operated.
- Platform
- An evidence-and-verification layer: producer/verifier separation, append-only evidence, bounded authority, independent re-derivation.
- Business model
- Four fixed-scope engagements: subscription assurance, subscription assurance with control instrumentation, annual fleet-wide verification, and a one-time readiness sprint.
- Traction
- Pre-revenue. No customers. No capital raised. The company holds a live payment rail and a priced offering; it has not yet converted an enquiry.
- Capital strategy
- Revenue first. Grant and non-dilutive programmes pursued in parallel; equity raised only when a specific hire or capability justifies it.

Why now
Regulation is arriving
AI governance requirements are moving from voluntary frameworks to expectations that a reviewer can inspect. Documentation of intent is not evidence of operation.
Agents are being given authority
Systems that can act are being deployed faster than the ability to prove what they did. The gap between action and reconstructable evidence is widening.
Assurance is a services business first
Verification standards are established by doing engagements, not by shipping software. The tooling is the by-product of the practice.
Traction, stated without decoration
| Metric | State |
|---|---|
| Paying customers | 0 |
| Cash received | $0 |
| Pilots in delivery | 0 |
| Qualified conversations | Not reported — we would rather report none than count an enquiry as a pipeline. |
| Capital raised | $0 |
| Non-dilutive programmes | Applications in preparation. No award or credit has been received. |
| Patents | None filed. |
Defensibility, argued honestly
The durable asset is not the code. It is the verification practice: the specific, hard-won knowledge of where measurements lie, how instrumented systems report green while doing nothing, and what a defensible evidence record actually has to contain to survive an adversarial reading. That knowledge is earned by doing the work and is difficult to copy without doing it.
The software exists to make that practice repeatable at a lower cost per engagement. It is not the pitch.
Risk
Named plainly: the company is pre-revenue and may not find customers; assurance is a trust sale that takes time; larger competitors can bundle similar offerings; and the founders are the current delivery capacity. None of that is disguised in this document, and any counterparty should weigh it.
